Mortgage System Transition & Temporary Service Interruption from 5:00pm (PT), May 29, 2026 to Midnight (PT), June 4, 2026.

We will be making improvements to our mortgage servicing platform designed to improve your overall experience. As part of this transition, we will be implementing a new mortgage system that will provide more efficient service, enhanced account access, and improved features. This transition will not change the terms of your existing loan, however, some mortgage customers will receive a new loan number. Please reference the letter dated May 4th, 2026 that was mailed to your address on file.

What to Expect:

To complete this upgrade, our mortgage system will be temporarily unavailable from 5:00pm (PT), May 29, 2026 to Midnight (PT), June 4, 2026. During this period, you will experience limited access to certain services, including:

  • Making online mortgage payments,
  • Making mortgage payments through our automated, interactive voice response (IVR) phone system,
  • Viewing mortgage account details, and
  • Accessing mortgage statements or documents.

For Payments Due During the System Outage:

  • If your loan is currently set up for automatic payments or transfers from your Mechanics Bank checking or savings account, no action is required. Your payments will transition automatically to the new system. Note that any payment scheduled from May 29 to June 4 will be held and processed on June 5; however, your payment record will indicate the date that corresponds with your current payment settings.
  • If you'd like to make a payment between May 29 and June 4, add your loan number to the memo field and mail your payment to: Mechanics Bank | P.O. Box 34610 | Seattle, WA 98124-1610
  • NOTE: If you typically make payments by mail, please be sure to routinely use the above address beginning May 29, 2026.
  • To request a payoff quote, please call our Loan Servicing Customer Service at 800.237.3194.

After the Transition

Once the new system is live on Friday, June 5:

  • Please review and update your bill pay system accordingly with your new loan number and updated payment address — Mechanics Bank | P.O. Box 34610 | Seattle, WA 98124-1610.
  • You will continue to receive a monthly billing statement. It will look a little different, but all terms and conditions are associated with your loan will remain the same.
  • Our automated IVR phone system will be available to you 24/7 by calling 800.237.3194. This system allows you to access your loan information, set up a one-time payment, or request a payoff quote. Use this number to speak with a representative M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm (PT).
  • Take the time to register for the new and improved Mechanics Bank Check My Loan website via www.mechanicsbank.com/your-mortgage-loan 

Access the Check My Loan site going forward by visiting mechanicsbank.com:

  1. Go to www.mechanicsbank.com
  2. In the login box in the upper right corner, click on Manage My Mortgage.
  3. Click on the Log in here button and follow the prompts.

Once registered, you will find the following:

  • Loan: Review current loan balance, loan account information, and escrow information, if applicable.
  • Payments: Make a payment online, sign up for automatic payments, view payment history, and generate a pay-off quote.
  • Education: Offers home equity information, options/contact information and Frequently Asked Questions if you are having difficulty making your payments.
  • Messages: Send and receive information knowing that your account information is treated confidentially and securely.
  • Documents: Access monthly billing statements, escrow analysis, and year-end tax information. You may also update your preferences to enroll in eStatements.

No. This system transition does not change the interest rate, payment amount, maturity date, or any other terms of your existing mortgage or HELOC.

The mortgage system will be temporarily unavailable during the following period:

  • Outage Window:
    5:00pm (PT), May 29, 2026 – Midnight (PT), June 4, 2026

During this time, access to certain services will be limited.

During the outage, you may not be able to:

  • Make online mortgage payments
  • Make payments through the automated IVR phone system
  • View mortgage or HELOC account details online
  • Access statements or mortgage/HELOC documents online

Loan Number Changes Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Customers whose loan number is changing were notified by U.S. mail. The new number will be effective June 1, 2026 and should be used for all payments, correspondence, and bill pay setups after this date.

After June 1, 2026, please update:

  • Online bill pay systems
  • Third-party payment services
  • Any records where your old loan number is stored

You will also need to use the new mailing address for payments.

Yes. You will continue to receive monthly billing statements, but they may have a new format. All loan terms and conditions will remain the same.

HELOC-Specific Questions Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

New Mechanics Bank–issued courtesy checks will be mailed free of charge on June 2, 2026.

  • If you do not receive them by June 15, 2026, contact Loan Servicing at 237.3194
  • Old HELOC checks will no longer work as of June 1, 2026

Please securely destroy all outdated or unused HELOC checks using a paper shredder.
Do not place checks in household trash or recycling, as this helps prevent fraud and identity theft.  

Starting June 5, 2026, a code word will be required when requesting a HELOC advance:

  • Applies to phone and written advance requests
  • Advances will only be approved after the code word is authenticated

Complete the enclosed code word form and return it using the enclosed envelope by July 1, 2026.

Available options include:

  • Courtesy Checks: Use your existing Mechanics Bank checks OR, if your loan account number has changed, please use your newly issued checks only
  • In-Person: Visit a Mechanics Bank branch
