Mechanics Bank to Move Newport Beach Office: Larger, more personal and updated space in Newport Center

Friday, March 24, 2017

IRVINE, CA March 23, 2017—The Newport Beach branch of Mechanics Bank (formerly California Republic Bank) will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 24, to accommodate relocation to 610 Newport Center Drive, Suite 100, Newport Beach CA 92660. The office will reopen on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. in its new location.

“We’re moving four short blocks up the Newport Center Drive loop, and remaining centrally located in Newport Center”, says Rauly Butler, Executive Vice President and Director, Retail Banking. “Our new location is a larger, more personal and updated banking environment that will offer our clients more privacy. We’re also directly next to the new outdoor space known as ‘The Commons’, which is a great outdoor gathering area. Complimentary parking is available directly in front of our new location, or with validation in the Center Drive garage directly across the street. We’ve planned this move over the weekend to achieve the least possible disruption for our clients. Accounts will be moved automatically, and customers will be greeted by the same friendly staff in the new location on Monday morning.”

“The Newport area continues to be a key growth market for us,” says John DeCero, Mechanics Bank President and CEO. “It’s where our Southern California roots are based, and we’re very excited to be able to provide an expanded and contemporary environment that will better suit our highly personal relationship banking approach while not giving up our great central location in Newport Center.”

Mechanics Bank and California Republic Bank (CRB) completed their merger on October 1, 2016. The Bank features 34 branches and five regional commercial banking and wealth management locations throughout California.
