August 25, 2014: A Message To Those Affected By The Earthquake

April 28, 2014: Updates To Bill Pay, Mobile Banking, and Purchase Rewards
You now have a way to pay a bill to an existing payee from the My Accounts Home page. By selecting the payee, amount, and delivery date in the Bill Pay widget, you can now schedule a payment to an existing payee or check on already scheduled payments without having to open up the Bill Pay tab. If you need to add payees, edit a payment, or view past payments, just click on Pay Bills from the main navigation to visit the Bill Pay section of Online Banking.
Purchase Rewards and Mobile Banking are being updated this week as well. You'll notice a visual update to Purchase Rewards that provides more information about what offers you have available to you and what your reward status is for any particular purchase reward. For Mobile Banking, we are updating all apps for iPhone, iPad, Kindle, and Android to version 4.1 by the end of the week. This update will provide some minor support updates and add security setting options and support for international phone numbers for our clients living or travelling abroad. April 14, 2014: Important Notice Regarding Change in Terms to Debit MasterCard® Transaction Limits
In our ongoing efforts to reduce the potential for debit card fraud on your account, Mechanics Bank has updated its Debit MasterCard® transaction limits on certain cards.

April 3, 2014: Microsoft Discontinuing Windows XP Support After April 8, 2014
After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will discontinue technical assistance for Windows XP. Microsoft will no longer provide security updates and other forms of technical assistance to users of this product. It will still be possible to continue using Windows XP, however doing so may put your computer at risk for software failure, security risks and viruses. After Microsoft discontinues support for Windows XP, you can still use computers running this operating system to access Online Banking, but we suggest that you consider upgrading your operating system or computer to avoid malware targeting users of Windows XP that could potentially compromise the security of your computer and your personal data. Please note, however, that our Online Banking platform only supports the following browsers for Windows XP: Internet Explorer 8, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (version 6 and higher). February 25, 2014: Security Advisory For Apple Products
We strongly suggest to our clients using Apple products and services to perform a software update for your Apple phone, tablet, computer, or other iOS/OSX based device (iPod).
Apple has posted a critical security advisory regarding a potential vulnerability and security patch for its iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod) and OSX (Mac desktop) platforms.
The issue is core to the function of the Apple mobile and desktop platforms and impacts any application and function on the device that depends on SSL encryption. This vulnerability might allow a malicious third party to capture and manipulate otherwise secure Web, email and application traffic on the device.
Apple has recommended that users of these platforms immediately take steps to reduce this risk by applying a software patch made available by Apple for those users running iOS7. A patch was also made available for the legacy iOS6 platform and OSX desktop platforms.
Who is affected? If you aren't currently using Mobile Banking or Mobile Deposit, you may have noticed a pop-up message after you logged into Online Banking that provided you with direct links to our mobile apps, mobile web, or text banking services. This is just a friendly reminder that you can now view your transactions, pay bills, deposit checks* and transfer money from your mobile device. iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Android phone, and Android tablet apps are now available.
Please note that Mobile Deposit is currently available only on iPhone, camera enabled iPod, and Android phones. iPad Mobile Deposit is expected in January.

While many of our clients now use our mobile banking apps or mobile web banking to access their accounts, did you know you can also set up your mobile phone to get account balances, transfer money between accounts, or see updates on your recent account activity - all through a quick text message?

July 3, 2013: Transaction Posting Resolved
Our transaction posting process experienced system issues for certain transactions for July 1-2, resulting in a delay of posting certain types of transaction data. We have restored this data and your account balance and transaction information is updated. It is now available for download to Quicken, Quickbooks, and other financial aggregation applications like Mint. Our Kindle Fire App is now available in the Amazon Store. Now you can access your accounts through iPhone, Android Phone, and Kindle. While the Kindle Fire App may work with some Android tablets, our dedicated Android tablet app will be available soon.
June 17, 2013: Mobile Banking Interface Update Tonight (Apple App Store) And Next Week (Google Play - Android)
We're updating our Mobile Banking apps. This update is designed to enhance the overall look and feel of the interface, improve app performance, and streamline mobile banking functionality (in preparation for the launch of mobile check deposit scheduled for late summer). With this update, both mobile phone apps will get a visual overhaul, while the iPad app will see some minor enhancements. Look for the update tonight from the Apple App Store (iOS) and from Google Play (Android) scheduled late next week. You can see a preview of the Apple iOS App update below.

This upgrade adopts the latest security requirements to provide you with an even greater peace of mind as you access your personal financial information online.
In addition to the security upgrade, there are a few other enhancements worth noting. Our new consolidated My Accounts Home Page streamlines access to those features you rely upon most. As was mentioned in prior communications, a significant change associated with the upgrade is the requirement for a stricter structuring of your Online Banking User ID. Here are the updated requirements for the User ID and a reminder about our existing Password requirements:

If your User ID or Password does not meet the criteria above, you will be prompted to update your information the first time you attempt to log in to Online Banking following the upgrade. You will also be asked to validate your security information and ability to receive a one-time security passcode from a telephone number or email address you select.
New Browser Requirements
Additionally, if you use Internet Explorer, the upcoming upgrade requires version 8.0 or newer. Following this upgrade, older versions of this browser will no longer be supported. If you are using an older version we suggest that you update your browser at your earliest convenience as you will be required to do so before you can gain online access to your accounts.
