RICHMOND, CA, April 21, 2011 -- Mechanics Bank Makes the List of "2011 Best Places to Work"
Mechanics Bank has once again been voted one of the Bay Area’s “Best Places to Work” in the 2011 survey conducted by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal. For the second straight year, the bank ranked in the Top Ten in its size category, 500 to 1500 employees.
The ranking is based on employee responses to an online survey. Only Bay Area employees were permitted to respond, and only companies with a response rate of at least 15% of employees were eligible for ranking. Less than 7 points (out of 100) separated the scores of #1 through #10.
“Throughout our 106 years, we’ve always been an employee-focused culture,” said Dianne D. Felton, Chairman of Mechanics Bank. “Our goal is to be a top place to work (and bank) every day of every year..”
Companies are ranked according to five size categories ranging from 25 to 50 employees to 1501+. Winning companies are recognized in a special section of the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
