Richmond, CA, February 19, 2008—Mechanics Bank has announced the appointment of Patti Barsotti as vice president and business development officer for Wealth Management at Mechanics Bank. In her new position she will work with clients and prospects that require the comprehensive financial services offered through the bank's Wealth Management Division.

A banking veteran with 35 years of experience, Ms. Barsotti joined the Bank in 2005 and managed Mechanics Bank's Danville Office before moving to the Wealth Management Division. She began her career at Bank of America, where she headed the Small Business Banking and Preferred Banking Groups. She than joined CivicBank of Commerce and spent 10 years with that community bank before it was sold.

Ms. Barsotti has held numerous volunteer positions in the Concord, Danville and Walnut Creek Chambers of Commerce as well as various other non-profits located in the East Bay. She recently served as the Governor for Kiwanis International - California Nevada & Hawaii district, a job in which she worked with a total of 550 Kiwanis clubs in the three states.

In her new position, Ms. Barsotti will be part of a team of professionals in the Wealth Management Group who provide and coordinate a wide array of financial services for affluent customers.

A native Californian, Ms. Barsotti graduated from California State University, San Francisco with a BA in Business, and went on to earn a Personal Financial Planning Certificate UC Berkeley. She has lived in the East Bay 29 years. Recently, Ms. Barsotti, her husband Rocci and their daughter moved to Dublin. Her husband works for the Concord Chamber of Commerce.
