NAPA, CA, April 12, 2013 — Alfredo Pedroza has been selected by North Bay Business Journal as one of the winners of its seventh-annual Forty Under 40 awards. The award will be presented Tuesday, April 30, at a 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. reception at Hyatt Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa.
Mr. Pedroza, who recently joined Mechanics Bank to serve as Office Manager of its new North Napa Office which will open in May, was selected from among more than 130 nominees. Winners were chosen based on their leadership in companies and organizations as well as their participation within their communities across the North Bay.
A lifelong Napa resident and high profile community advocate, Mr. Pedroza serves as Commissioner of the Napa County Gang and Youth Violence Task Force and holds board or officer positions at Community Action Napa Valley, Napa County Hispanic Network, Sonoma State Advisory Campus Council, Queen of the Valley Latino Advisory Council, and Napa Valley Youth Center. In November, 2012, he became the youngest person ever elected to the Napa City Council, and Napa’s first Latino Councilmember, with a term that expires in December 2016.
“We’re delighted and proud that Alfredo is receiving this recognition,” says Ruth Edwards, senior vice president, Mechanics Bank. “His passion to serve the people of Napa is an ideal fit with our community banking mission to help build prosperous communities.”
