MICHAEL POPOVICH JOINS NCPHS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
San Francisco, CA, May 28, 2008—Michael S. Popovich has joined the board of directors of Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services (NCPHS), a 50-year-old not-for-profit organization that provides housing and other services for over 2,000 senior adults throughout Northern California.
“NCPHS is delighted to add such a qualified individual to our Board of Directors," said Barbara Hood, CEO of NCPHS. "Mike brings strong planning and financial skills to complement the board’s overall strategic style.”
"As a society, we are measured by how we regard our elderly population. They were the ones that blazed the trail for the rest of us," said Popovich, a senior vice president and region manager in Mechanics Bank's Corporate Banking Division. "We have an obligation to help them live their later years in comfort and security. I'm truly honored to participate in this goal as a member of the NCPHS Board of Directors and look forward to working with the rest of the team."
NCPHS properties include The Sequoias-San Francisco, The Sequoias-Portola Valley, Eastern Park Apartments, The Tamalpais, Western Park Apartments, The Woods and Town Park Towers. In addition to the housing the organization provides, it also offers services to seniors through outreach programs and works closely with many other non-profit agencies in the Bay Area.
Popovich is a lifelong resident of Kentfield in Marin County.
