Richmond, CA, April 21, 2008— Heidi Crouch has been promoted to manager of the Oakland Office of Mechanics Bank.

Crouch began her banking career with Mechanics bank when she joined the Kensington Office in 2001. She moved to the Oakland Office three years later, after completing supervisory training.

"I worked for Mechanics Bank while attending college," she said, "and realized that this was the career--and the bank--for me. I've always been proud to tell people I work in a place that is still family-owned after 103 years--and still cares deeply about its employees and communities."

Crouch has been a devoted community volunteer throughout her career at Mechanics Bank, including working with Rebuilding Together Oakland--for which she received a Mechanics Bank employee award. The organization rehabilitates homes of low income elderly and disabled homeowners at no cost to them. She also has participated in Junior Achievement and the summer youth employment program in Oakland.

A Pinole native who now resides in Walnut Creek, Crouch graduated from San Francisco State University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.

For more than a century, Mechanics Bank has been committed to helping people build prosperous communities as a trusted financial partner, forging lasting relationships through teamwork, respect and integrity. The $2.7 billion independent bank, headquartered in Richmond, California, offers personal banking, business banking, trust, brokerage and wealth management services through 33 offices across Northern California.
