CLAIRE E. MASH JOINS MECHANICS BANK IN SAN FRANCISCO


San Francisco, CA, November 19, 2007—Claire E. Mash has joined Mechanics Bank as Vice President and Personal Trust Manager of its San Francisco Office. She oversees a team of trust officers and administrators responsible for providing trust and estate services to the Bank’s Wealth Management clients in San Francisco and Marin.

Ms. Mash was most recently a Vice President and Trust Officer with Bank of the West in San Francisco. Immediately prior, she was a Trust Administrator with the Santa Clara County Office of the Public Guardian, where she was responsible for investigating elder financial abuse claims along with providing trust and estate services to dependent adults. Additional positions held by Ms. Mash include serving as a Contract Administrator for the Orange County Social Services Agency and a Legislative Policy Advisor and Press Secretary for a member of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.

A graduate of San Jose State University with a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Economics, Ms. Mash received a law degree from Santa Clara University in 1991 and is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council.

Ms. Mash has been active in the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross as a Disaster Services Worker, and was deployed to Louisiana in 2005 to help the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

A native of Kihei in Maui, Hawaii, Ms. Mash pursues a variety of outdoor activities ranging from hiking and kayaking to snorkeling and golf. Now a San Francisco resident, she enjoys exploring the City’s many restaurants, museums and scenic attractions.
