RICHARD H. LEHMAN TAKES ON NEW ROLE AS DIRECTOR OF EMPLOYEE BENEFIT TRUST AT MECHANICS BANK IN RICHMOND
Richmond, CA, April 14, 2008—Richard H. Lehman has been appointed Vice President and Director of Employee Benefit Trust at Mechanics Bank’s Richmond Headquarters. An employee of the bank since April 2005, Lehman previously was Vice President and Senior Product Manager for Wealth Management Services, where he was instrumental in upgrading the bank's employee benefits product offering to be fully competitive within the 401(k), pension plan and Employee Stock Offering Plan (ESOP) arena.
Lehman's new role will involve managing existing relationships with corporate plan sponsors and leveraging the Bank’s extensive trust and investment expertise to expand the business within the Bank’s footprint from San Francisco to Sacramento.
Lehman’s financial career spans more than 30 years in marketing, product management and business development for financial services firms, including 11 years on Wall Street with E.F. Hutton and the New York Stock Exchange. In 2003, Bloomberg Press published his book entitled New Insights on Covered Call Writing – The Powerful Technique That Enhances Returns and Lowers Risks in Stock Investing.
A part-time instructor of Finance at UC Berkeley Extension, Lehman holds a B.S. in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and an MBA in Finance/Marketing from the State University of New York. He currently resides in San Rafael.
