MECHANICS BANK HONORED ONE OF THE TOP TEN “2010 BEST PLACES TO WORK”

RICHMOND, CA, April 28, 2010 - Mechanics Bank has been recognized as one of the top ten “2010 Best Places to Work” in a survey of Bay Area employees conducted by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal earlier this year. The bank was recognized in the 501-1500 employee category. (There are five size categories ranging from 25 to 50 employees to 1501+.)

The ranking is based on employee responses to an online survey. Only Bay Area employees could respond, and only companies with at least a 15% of employee response rate were eligible for ranking.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to have achieved this recognition, because it confirms that we put our employees first, always,” said Steve Buster, CEO of Mechanics Bank. “We know that if we take care of them, they will take care of our clients.”

All winning companies were honored at an event at the San Francisco Hilton on Wednesday, April 28th.
