Is the online account application secure?

Yes. Mechanics Bank views the security of your personal information as a top priority. When you submit personal information to open an account online, you are protected by 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL 3.0) encryption technology—the most widely used method of securing internet transactions available today. That means only Mechanics Bank has access to the data you submit as part of your application. Whenever you use our online account opening form on our website, be confident that your information will be protected by the highest security measures.

When will I know if my application that I submitted online has been approved?

Once you submit your application, you will be contacted within 2-3 days notifying you of the status of your account. Once approved, you will receive a New Account Package with your Signature Card, Opening Deposit return envelope and other important notifications and disclosures. If your account application is denied for any reason, you will be sent a written notification.

Can I save the account application and go back to it later?

No. At this time you may not save your application submission.
