MECHANICS BANK'S SAN FRANCISCO OFFICE NOW OFFERS FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Trading in over 70 currencies with 20 available for immediate purchase and pick-up
SAN FRANCISCO, California, April 3, 2008—Mechanics Bank, the largest independent community bank in Northern California, has opened a full service Foreign Currency Exchange at its San Francisco Office at the corner of Sansome Street and Sacramento. The currency exchange teller is able to serve both existing customers of Mechanics Bank as well as non account-holders, including San Francisco's growing flood of international tourists and its local businessmen who are traveling abroad.
The service is an expansion of the international currency exchange service previously available only in the Berkeley Office of Mechanics Bank.
"We've identified growing demand for this service," said Area Regional Manager Raudel Wilson. "This international expansion is very complimentary to the needs of our local community, since our close proximity to Chinatown and our Financial District location mean that we have a constant stream of international travelers coming and going. It's also part of our continued expansion of services to meet the needs of our business clients. We can serve people without delay, and offer highly competitive exchange rates."
In addition to trading in over 70 different foreign currencies, the FX teller will have available 20 different currencies for immediate purchase, including those from Asian Pacific destinations such as Hong Kong, China, New Zealand and the Philippines.
For more information about this service, please call the FX teller direct at Mechanics Bank, 415-677-4040.
