Richmond, CA, April 8, 2008— Chris Cole has been appointed Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager of Private Banking for the Wealth Management Group at Mechanics Bank in San Francisco.

A specialist in private banking for high net worth individuals, Cole previously served as a Senior Private Business Banker at First Republic Bank for over 10 years. His more than 18 years of banking experience includes residential lending, business banking and wealth management. He also worked as a Regional Training & Development Specialist for Key Bank in Seattle.

"Chris's background in residential lending allows him to offer our private banking clients a full suite of services that includes residential construction and mortgage loans," said Kirsten Weisser, Executive Vice President of Mechanics Bank's Wealth Management Group. Cole has been active in a variety of nonprofit organizations as a consultant and advisory board member, including for The Treasure Island Sailing Center, ElderArts and Live Oak School. He currently is serving on the board of directors and finance committee for Little Kids Rock, an educational non-profit founded in San Francisco that provides free musical instruments and trained instructors to over 12,000 children in our public schools.

An avid music collector, he enjoys cooking, traveling, modern & green design and his dogs. He lives in San Francisco.
