Mechanics Bank appoints Art Troy – Chief Appraiser

WALNUT CREEK, CA, February 10, 2016 – Art Troy has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Appraiser at Mechanics Bank. In addition to managing the residential and commercial appraisal process for the bank, his responsibilities include overseeing the bank’s environmental risk assessment function.

Mr. Troy has been involved in commercial real estate work since 1987, including working at Comerica Bank, California Federal Bank, Citibank, Greater Bay Bank and Wells Fargo, among others. He also worked at Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, as the bank’s chief appraiser for two years until it was sold in late 2012. He rejoined Citibank in late 2012, as Senior Vice President, Senior Real Estate Risk Manager before coming to Mechanics Bank.

A UC Berkeley graduate in Economics and Social Sciences, Mr. Troy grew up in the Bay Area and lives in the East Bay. He is a State of California Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute.
